Dr. Jeffrey W. Martin

Specialties and Areas of Focus

Dr. Jeffrey Martin is a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in sports medicine. He performs arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle. His interests include arthroscopic ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) reconstruction, meniscal repair and cartilage resurfacing techniques. Dr. Martin uses the latest and most advanced techniques in partial and total knee replacements.

He also focuses on arthroscopic treatment of shoulder instability, impingement and rotator cuff tears. Dr. Martin also provides care for arthritis, fractures, joint replacements, and various musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Martin is now performing hip replacements through a minimally invasive muscle sparring anterior approach. This allows patients a faster recovery and the potential for fewer complications.

Dr. Martin completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. During his fellowship he assisted in the care of the San Francisco 49ers, Stanford Athletic Program, and Santa Clara College Athletics. He also participated in the 2005 NFL combine selection, on behalf of the San Francisco 49ers. Dr. Martin (along with Drs. Bryan and Hatten) is currently a team physician for the Daytona Thunder arena football team.

Dr. Martin has now joined the Orthopaedic Clinic of Daytona Beach, P.A. He will be providing care to patients in and around Volusia County, including Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Port Orange, and Palm Coast.

In addition to using advanced minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Martin emphasizes supervised physical therapy and rehabilitation for optimal outcomes in his patients. Having a physical therapy facility merged with the clinical facility lends itself to open communication and continuity of care with patient, physician and therapist.

If you have any questions about arthroscopic ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) reconstruction, meniscal repair and cartilage resurfacing techniques or arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle please call Dr. Martin's office for an appointment.
