Specialties and Areas of Focus
Dr. Brian Hatten is a board certified orthopaedic
surgeon with special interests in total joint
replacements, arthroscopic management of athletic injuries
and complex fracture management. Dr. Hatten was born and
raised in Long Island, New York. He pursued his academic
schooling at Cornell University followed by medical school
at New York University. He achieved distinction as a
member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and
graduated among the top of his class. He further pursued
surgical training at the University of Miami.
Dr. Hatten joined the Orthopaedic Clinic of Daytona Beach in 2004 and practices general orthopaedics including surgical and nonsurgical management. He provides advanced surgical management for a wide variety of bone, joint, ligament and tendon disorders. He employs minimally invasive surgical techniques to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Brian Hatten uses the newest technological advancements in both partial and total knee replacements. He also performs hip replacement surgery with the anterior approach, allowing patients a speedier recovery and the potential for fewer complications.
Dr. Hatten is involved in a variety of local community medical activities and has served as the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Halifax Medical Center and on the Executive Committee of the Volusia County Medical Society.
